In this video we continue our look at effects filters by taking a closer look at diffusion filtration.

Diffusion Filters

Diffusion filtration softens the image while still retaining overall image sharpness.

They can be helpful for adding atmosphere to a scene, taking the digital edge off of our images, and they can be used to make people look more flattering.

If you are going to use diffusion, your lighting choices should support your filtration choices. What do I mean by that? Well, the point of diffusion is to remove the rough spots, and smooth out, or soften you image.
